The game is great, a fantastic spin

The game is great, a fantastic spin on the repetitive survival game franchise.
Taming is a long process that at the end you can get very attacted and love your special Dino so very much and can lose yourself in hours and hours and hours of just "oh I'll get off as soon as I check on this... or finish this wall... or tame this dino"

But I wouldn't recommend it unless you can afford to play on a private server with friends

The game is apparently VERY easy to hack and you've got people with aim bots on almost every offical server.
Which would be bad enough, but I'm apart of the refugees from server 308 which had some very well established tribes when a war broke out and the chinese brought in a bunch of hackers that stream themselves clensing servers. (we found their livestream while they were raiding us)
The problem is that they must have had admin access or something cuz they could open up our doors/gates like normal, and would remove generators that were guarded behind multiple layers of metal disabling all our turrets without firing a shot.
Not to mention we'd fly by with a full lvl bird with TONS of health and one shot would instant kill any dino we had.

I would be okay with some aimbots cuz at least we'd have a chance to fight them off. But there's no chance of winning against that type of hacking which is apparently getting quite common

We had several people from huge tribes that put 1000+ hours into the game to build up massive defenses and huge amounts of dinos all be destoryed without being able to do a thing to stop it

The game it's self is amazing, love it. Great playing with people. But on your own the game is impossible to get almost anywhere, and hacking is so rampade that you risks losing a dino that took you 20+ hours to tame in seconds with nothing you can do to stop it.

It's a trolls pradise for horrible people to torture and destory months of your life in a blink of an eye
It was so infuriating that many players that it created a lot of racism to chinese people in general because of how dirty the cheating was.


EDIT: I have seen that the Devs have been hard at work trying to better secure against super hardcore hacking.
I still can't really recommend this game to most people I know since the online interaction basically is one or 2 super tribes a server that will destory you because they can. We tried to restart on a new server and worked on that for about a week before the big tribe came in and just demo'd our base because they could.
Quite a lot of time and work lost due to people being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it makes really angry when people act like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s just because they can. Kind of makes me want to learn how to hack just to wipe them from the server.
