Everyday I wake up and although I'm warm,
I feel I feel as cold as the snow outside.
I'm in a campus surrounded by thousands,
but I feel like the I'm the only one out there.
There's directions, street names, and signs,
but I feel lost nonetheless.
They say there's beauty in the city,
although I cannot enjoy much of it.
They say here is where we find ourselves
But all I've found is loneliness.
And while I once believed I was strong, independent, unmoving,
I am now weak, helpless, and crumbling.
Everyday I wake up and although I'm warm I feel as cold as the snow outside
