The synergy and mask effects between different odorous compounds
were not evaluated in Cod, OT, while the odor may have
been enhanced or suppressed in terms of perception (Ruth,
1986). Kim (2011) pointed out that the mixing phenomenon
between odorous compounds with similar chemical properties
(e.g., RSCs) may be characterized by the averaging effect of all
participants. However, the mixing mechanism between different
chemical families remains unclear.
