The image was part of an MTV India programme called Model Mission. The idea being that every three months or so, MTV would launch a new face and part of the show would be the shooting of the girl’s portfolio. ‘I don’t often do portfolios, but the essential thing to remember is that these are pictures you’re creating for the model, and that it must lead to commercial work for her,’ says Farrokh. ‘It’s a good idea to try and make your subject look different in each set-up – the more versatile you are as a model, the more work you will get. Of course, the most important thing is to bring out what is unique and singular about your subject.’
