Of the seven elements measured in roots, K, P, Mg and Ca were
the most abundant (Table 6). Water deficit increased significantly
the concentrations of P, Mg, Fe and Zn. In particular Fe was doubled
(5.6 and 2.4 mg 100 g−1 DW in W30 and W100, respectively) and
Zn nearly tripled compared to control plants (Table 6).
