It should be noted that service-learning practice in the five Christian high schools in this study does align with the service-learning standards for diversity and meaningful service. Unfortunately, the Christian high schools are not meeting the quality servicelearning standards for partnerships, youth voice, duration and intensity, link to curriculum, reflection, or progress monitoring. This is not surprising because their service practice is more akin to community service than service-learning, and therefore, quality standards for service-learning are not necessarily addressed.
