Green tea infusion was conducted according to the standard
method. Briefly, commercial green tea leaves (1 g) was transferred
into a glass tea pot. Then, 100 mL of hot water (82 C) was added to
the green tea leaves and left to infuse for 5 min. The infused tea
leaves were then collected and dried at a convection oven at
60 C for 2 h. The policosanols in dried infused tea leaves were
extracted as described above.
