Owing to the lack of association between the self-perceptions of weight and disordered eating variables and midrange ESE, these variables are neither tabled nor discussed.
3.2. Relationship between weight perceptions, BMI, disordered eating, and lower ESE
3.2.1. Black Females
A significant relationship was established between lower ESE and fasting to lose weight (past 30 days) for Black females (Table 2). Black females who reported fasting to lose weight increased the odds of reporting lower ESE by 1.59 times in comparison to Black females who reported higher ESE and not fasting to lose weight
