inhibited the activity of complex II in F. solani (Fig. 4). Furthermore,
boscalid, which is a mitochondrial complex II inhibitor, showed
about 10-fold higher in the antifungal activity and complex II
inhibition than compound 7 (Table 1, Fig. 4). These results strongly
indicate that the antifungal activity of linear alkyl parabens against
plant pathogenic fungi is due to the inhibition of complex II.
