The after-curing void ratio, eot, which takes into account, primarily, the effect of total clay water content and, secondarily, the effects of cement content and curing time, was adapted in this paper to supersede the Cw parameter. Since the initial state which reflects the failure strength at a certain shearing process of cured cement-admixed clay is dependent on curing time as well as cement content and total clay water content present in the claywater- cement paste, it is logical to utilize a parameter that combines together the effects of these factors.
