Task: Remain in activities.
Prerequisites: ADT 1
Concept: Many students who have disabilities encounter difficulties remaining present or involved in structured activities. Students with attention-deficit disorder have an especially difficult time. Although a biological basis for this disorder probably exists, behavioral interventions such as those described here can be of assistance. The concept involved with this task is an expansion on attending behavior (see the prerequisite). The overall goal is involvement in a structured activity, preferably with others, for more than 5 minutes.
