In a D2D architecture,
mobile devices share locally-available network
connections to form an environment for sharing information
between local users. Pedersen et al. discuss a D2D architecture,
where mobile devices create their own cloud environment
with the help of the various locally available mobile
devices [18]. In this approach, mobile devices are able to
convey information directly to their nearby mobile devices
without any help of the overlay network. Dinh et al. present
an architecture composed of ‘mobile network services’ and
the ‘cloud controllers’, where mobile devices are connected
with a network service via various access points, satellite and
Base Transceiver Station (BTS) to transmit messages to the
nearby mobile devices [8]. But these D2D communications
do not enable users to access remote cloud applications into
their mobile devices.
