The other reason for the above losses is the low efficiency related to the method of the electricity generation, i.e. the low
efficiency of the fuel combustion method used at various power stations. According to de la Rue Can, et. al., 2009 [17], 82% of the power stations in India uses this method to generate electricity. Other losses have been counted as part of direct and indirect theft, i.e. illegal access to power cables and the absence of electricity meter reading, in particular in some rural areas of the country.
