4. Conclusion
Maximum sorption capacity (

) obtained from the
sorption of MB onto
C. lentillifera
was 417 mgg

which
was relatively high in comparison with the previous records
as summarized in
Table 4
. Sorption behaviors of the six
systems were compared in order to give comparative eval-
uation where the sorption capacity of the alga was proven
to be superior to that of activated carbon. Moreover, the
equilibrium times of the algal systems were found to be
shorter and this rendered the alga a potential biosorbent
for color removal
