1. listen to get the facts
2. probe into the needs of guest by asking questions to clarify request
3. Explain what you can do and offer alternative
4. confirm with the guest that is satisfactory
5. record the request using the "guest service request tracker" from (explained below)
6. Use positive words like: " certainly, i will be happy /glad to ..."
7. Take personal responsibility to do it. do not the request a run around or passing on request to other departments
8. follow up (written message in room/vocal message on phone)
9. be always sure to give the exact information to guests, never guess.
