It presents marriage in a way that portrays women as slaves to their husbands. They must submit to all their wants, needs and desires. In many of today's modern day marriages, both partners work. When one partner stays home to raise the children is not always the woman in the relationship. Traditionally and historically, women were expected to stay home, raise children, carry out domestic duties, and ensure the comfort and happiness of their husbands; today, women are granted more freedoms and privileges then men are. Most marriages today are thought of as marriage partnerships rather than enslavement through marriage.
