Khi Lek, locally called of Siamese cassia is a medicinal plant of Thailand. Barakol, an active principle of Khi Lek, exhibits as anxiolytic properties, sedative, improving quality of sleep. It is unstable and converted to anhydrobarakol that can dissolve in water. Khi Lek curry is an ancient curry of Thailand by using young leaves and young flowers but they have bitter taste so they are boiled with water 2-3 times.
