The tractor's position was observed in both more to compare the traveling path from both hitching experiments. The performance of the hitch-point adjustment algorithm was evaluate by comparing the trailer's position, the angle between the tractor and trailer and the distance from ICR to P.
The experiment were done using 12 replications for each experimental path in autonomous mode to collect the position of the tractor and the trailer. Out of the 12 replications:6 replications were performed with adjustments of hitch and 6 replications were performed without adjustment called fixed control mode using SHB. Then the tractor -trailer was driven in each experimental path again manually to get the position to use as references.
