3. WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE
Work breakdown structure (WBS) is an elementary component in planning. It indicates the way the construction will be performed. The size and structure of WBS in a project would vary based on the complexity of each project. The WBS developed for this study is structured for building construction and intended for small-to-medium contractors. Earned value concept [3] is used as a work progress
measurement technique. An example of a typical framework of the WBS is shown in Figure 1.
