The Seated Postural Control Measure (SPCM) is a
34-item, criterion-referenced, evaluative measure.
The Level of Sitting Scale (LSS) is an 8-point
classification index adapted from the Chailey Level
of Sitting Ability Scale [24]. Both were developed by
a team of clinicians and researchers at Sunny Hill
Health Centre for Children. The SPCM was designed
to measure specific aspects of postural alignment
and functional movement that are expected to change
as a result of adaptive seating intervention .
The LSS was designed to classify sitting ability
. Both have been used in research with
children and adults.
