Wat Prakaewdontoa Suchadaram is another temple in Lampang that is a good place to visit. The temple is a mix of Lanna, Shan, and Burmese styles. The wat was constructed in 1804 by artisans who emigrated here from Chiang Saen after their city was recaptured from the Burmese and burned down. Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao Registration has been declared a historic site by The Department of Arts.
The Wat Sri Chum is a large Burmese style temple in the town of Lampang comprising of a viharn, an ubosot and a chedi.
The name of the temple is derived from the Lanna word for Bodhi trees that surround the temple. The temple complex is surrounded by walls; a large, elaborately decorated entrance gate topped with a Burmese Pyatthat roof gives entrance to the grounds. The Wat Sri Chum has been declared a national treasure by the Thai Fine Arts Department.
The Wat Sri Chum opens daily during daylight hours. Admission is 20 Thai Baht per person.
Chae Sorn National Park is a lush forested and mountainous region with many activities. You can hike and see the 6 layer waterfall in the National Park. After the hike, you can boil some eggs in the hot springs that are 73 degree Celsius. The eggs will be done in about 15 minutes. You can also bathe in the hot springs and then have a Thai massage. It is a good activity to go with friends to have hike and have a picnic. Chae Sorn National Park is very beautiful and is worth a visit!
The Thailand Elephant Conservation Center in Lampang was founded in 1993 under Royal Patronage. The center cares for more than 50 Asian elephants in a beautiful forest. As Thailand's only government-owned elephant camp, the conservation center promotes affordability and accessibility. The admission price is only 200 baht for adults ) and 100 baht for children.
