The South Sea has a long coast-line because of many smal l
peninsulas or bays; therefore it
offers beaut iful scenic views
which can attract many tourists.
In addi tion, the water in the
South Sea is rather transparent
and cleaner than that in the
West. Therefore, most of the
islands and sea waters adjacent
are designated as marine
national parks. In the South Sea,
with the average depth of 40 m,
the natural environment such as
waves, currents, water
temperature and mild climate are
most favourable for marine
sports such as boating, yachting,
swimming, thus showing high
potential for marine tourism.
