we were interested in the families' attitudes toward their children because these are biological factors, such as changing energy demands and weight change, and sociocultural factors, such as availability and price of food and culture. Also, there are psychological factors, such as freedom from parental control and the need to come to terms with the changing world in which they find themselves. In parallel, our study, although not revealing any difference, did show that students whose parents behaved democratically/liberally demonstrated a smaller pro-portion of obesity
