I understand from FM Global (Imerys global insurer) that they have not visited Ranong site before, the reason being it is a low risk factory among the spectrum of global Imerys factories.
Due to the Ranong expansion, FM Global account manager, Jerome Picard had requested their team to facilitate site visit to Ranong and conduct risk assessment/ audit, concentrating on fire protection and natural disaster (on the expansion + existing facility).
This is just an advanced heads-up, the first assessment (If we have not done it before) may require many information for FM Global to facilitate their assessment and fire protection support. This exercise is usually liaised by Imerys HSE regional/ country manager, but as it involves new expansion I will also support as much as possible. At the moment, I would act as contact person on Imerys, at least on the first priority to clear the enquiry on the up-coming tube press expansion.
We should also start to prepare ourselves on the existing facility, especially on the documentation in HSE aspect:
1) Gas station LPG storage permit, inspection records.
2) Fire fighting SOP, training records.
3) Building lightning protection & earthing inspection records.
4) Generator diesel storage permit, inspection records.
5) Electrical safety, inspection records on the MCC breakers, cable continuity.
ETC
