Carew et al.
(1972) reported that apparent fat absorption from a
semipurified diet containing 20% corn oil was 80% from
2 to 7 d age which is similar to the 82 to 89% apparent
digestibility range reported by Noy and Sklan (1995)
from 4 to 21 d for a practical-type diet (corn–soybean
meal) with 6% added soy oil.
