assigned by the spectrum region of aromatic carbons (Car). Olefinic
carbons in the side chains (cinnamyl alcohol, cinnamaldehyde,
vinyl ether and stilbene type structures) contribute also to the signal
intensity of the aromatic region. Therefore, the quantification
of Car in different linkages could not be accurate. The frequency of
Car linkages is related with methoxyl groups (and varies according
to S/G ratio) and also with the resistant linkages Car C and Car O
between aromatic rings (condensed structures).
