Furthermore, measurements of relative oxygen content in the headspace
of empty packages (control) in which no oxygen is consumed by
oxidative processes showed that the oxygen content remains below 1%
for a period of 50, 20 and 5 days at 4, 22 and 37 °C respectively
(Figs. 3–5). No difference is observed within different packaging materials
(C- and S-pack) due to lowoxygen permeability of top layer in both
C- (3.2 cm3/m2 day bar) and S-(10 cm3/m2 day bar) packs (Table 3).
