The assembly of the electric motor as finite element model was realised using the ALGOR soft. Each part was imported from IDEAS as universal file and it was fixed on the position according with the assembly drawing. As reference point it was chose the middle point of the front-end surface of the rotor (see Fig.1 a, and c).
In the next step, for all parts that were surface meshed in IDEAS it was generate volume mesh based on the facilities of the ALGOR soft.
After positioning there were defined the connection points used for constrain equations.
Ones the finite element model was generated it was exported in ABAQUS considering a text file. Inside the file there were defined all the seven parts as groups and were mentioned all material properties for each part..
