The bed sheets
and clothing should be washed frequently,
and air fresheners should
contain odor eliminators. The resident
can also take deodorizing tablets
(for example, chlorophyllin) or
vitamin C, with the healthcare provider’s
approval. Consuming enough
fluids, drinking cranberry juice, and
foregoing foods such as coffee or asparagus
can lessen odors. Detecting
and treating a UTI can also help decrease
odors.
