Women and Minorities in Today’s Organizations:
Stereotyping and Discrimination –
Ø The experiences of women and people of colour different from those of white men is in the perceptions and attitudes that many people have about the two former groups – and in the behaviour that sometimes results from these perceptions and attitudes.
Ø Bias in organization has two components:
· Prejudice – refers to negative attitudes toward an organization member based on his/her culture group identity.
· Discrimination – refers to observable behaviour for the same reason.
