3. Make a Venn diagram that shows the shows the factor of 12 and the factors of 24.
4. Look at the Venn diagram for three groups. Put the odd numbers 1-15 in circle A. Put the prime numbers 1-15 in circle B. Put the whole numbers 5-15 in circle C. What should go in space D? space E? space F? Space G?
5.Describe two or three groups of numbers, all less than 24. Exchange your work with a partner. Each of you should then make a Venn diagram to represent the groups of numbers described by someone else.
Summing up
6. Was there anything special about your Venn diagram for the factors of 12 and the factors of 24? If so, what was it?
7. Look at 4. How many areas of intersection were there when you had three groups of numbers to represent? What numbers should go in each intersection? Is it possible to not have any members in one intersection? Try to think of an example.
