Consequences
Consequences are outcomes and events revealed following the occurrence of the concept. These consist of reduction of physical and mental distress, pain control, reduction of death anxiety (Chochinov et al. 2004), provision of patient and family comfort (Avizhgan & Mirshahjafari 2012), peaceful death (from the perspective of the family) (Loggers et al. 2013), an ideal death, and privacy and comfort for the patient.
Dying at a location that the patient loves with minimum displacement between the healthcare sectors, family satisfaction with the physician providing healthcare and reduction of communication defects (Sizoo et al. 2013) are other consequences.
