Examine company intent—Look again at the products and services you provide. Do they add value to your customers’ lives? Do all employees know what the company stands for? Do your employees understand the principles and motivations? If not, your workers might never know your good intentions and therefore cannot evangelize the company’s soul to customers. People cannot trust a company if they do not know the company’s values.
Invest in your workforce—Communicate and engage with your employees. One of the natural effects of receiving good care is that you, in turn, become a better nurturer. Workers often complain that management doesn’t realize the full scope of the labor required by those down in the trenches, and they don’t know the tools employees need to do their job well. Your workforce will improve its own caregiving abilities when they know upper management has more than a financial investment in them.
Improve communication—Make it easy for employees to interact with each other and the world around them with intuitive and familiar tools. The more human touch you can put on employee/customer communication, the more beloved your company will become. Cloud-based services like social tools for business, video conferencing, instant messaging, and email makes communication easy, meaningful, and affordable.
