most cities employ compaction-type trucks to collect solid waste generated in there areas. it was found that approximately 80-90% of msw were periodically collected. however, in rural, collection services are not widely covered and open dumping and burning are typical disposal techniques for msw. only about 37% 0f solid waste being collected is properly disposed. there are only 97 disposal facilities where quite properly manner designed have been operated for serving about 480 local administration throughout thailand (91 sanitary landfills, 3 incinerators, and 3 integrated-system facilities)
