The resource room and the offices of the advertising underwriters, volunteer coor¬dinator, and business manager had large windows that faced directly west, offering a sweeping view of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains, Hernandez-Ramos's office featured Mexican American folklore items reminiscent of those displayed dur¬ing Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead; the Mexican equivalent of Halloween though a far more meaningful and elaborate holiday). Gato Guerrero and other books in the Luis Montez Mystery Series by Hernandez-Ramos's husband, Manuel Ramos, added to the cultural decor.
