Locations with high availability of suitable host anemones tend to show higher densities
of anemonefish (Richardson, 1999). Dispersal of A. ocellaris
might be more restricted than in other related species, because it
utilises only three species of host anemones. For instance, A. clarkii
is associated with 10 anemone species (Fautin and Allen, 1992) and
therefore has a higher probability to find a suitable host.
