Based on the results of the current
study, C. reticulata is an future alternative acaricide for
the control of southern cattle tick. Although no previous
studies exist on the larvicidal proprieties of oleoresin of
C. reticulata for ticks, concentrations of 180 ppm (LC99)
are effective against 4th larval instar larvae of C.
quinquefasciatus (Silva et al., 2003).
