Mr. Isara Vongkusolkit, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce said after chairing the JSCCIB meeting today that most of the JSCCIB members disagreed with the ratification, citing Thailand’s necessity to reorganize alien labour which is still on-going. They shared a view that the ratification could undermine the labor registration process in the country. The proposed ratification was raised to the meeting after the ILO had urged its 183 member states to ratify the two conventions.
