The examination shows rather well defined extraaxial mass at left CP angle., with extension and widen left IAC, measuring about 4 cm in transverse x AP x craniocaudal direction. The mass shows heterogeneous signal intensity with small scanty cystic changes on T2W and heterogeneous enhancement. this mass exerts mass effect on fourth ventricle causing obstructive hydrocephalus. Midline shiftness to the right at mass level in noted. There is compression to left sided pon and left cerebellum. Minimal enhancement of adjacent dura is seen.
The rest of brain parenchyma appears unremarkable with no enhancing mass lesion focal brain swelling cerebral infarction intracranial hemorrhage or extra-axial fluid collection. No leptomeningeal enhancement is seen. The pituitary gland, cavernous sinuses and suprasellar region are within normal limits.
The visualized orbits, paranasal sinuses, and mastoids are unremarkable
Impression :
Rather well defined extraaxial mass at left CP angle, most likely nerve sheath tumor such as schwannoma
- Obstructive hydrocephalus
