We'll admit off the bat that the official birthday of the ice cream cone is a hotly contested debate.
More than a half dozen people claim to have invented the cone, but for our intents and purposes, we'll give the honor to Charles E. Menches, who - on this day in 1904 - created the idea of serving ice cream in its now most iconic vessel.
To celebrate the 110th anniversary of the cone, here are five of the best ice cream cone-related records. If you need us, we'll be at the nearest corner grabbing two scoops of chocolate chip cookie dough. Waffle cone, of course.
