Once this feature is enabled, left click the “Live/Freeze” button to display “Live”. This indicates VisionMaster is in Freeze mode and has the video image frozen. The reticles should now appear on the frozen image. To re-position the reticles for measurement, simply place the mouse pointer over the reticle to be moved and click /hold the middle mouse button to capture it. Once the reticle is moved, release the button. All four reticles are moved in the same manner. The distance between each pair of reticles will change dynamically as they are re-positioned. To turn off the reticles while the frozen video image is displayed, simply double-click the center or left mouse button.
The default configuration of the VisionMaster Software has the “Show Reticles” option disabled.
Note: Results from using the reticles is for reference only and is not recorded or stored.
“Height offset” - Many times users wish to use a reference surface, such as the solder pad, that cannot be seen in the video image because the solder paste completely covers it. In such cases, an offset (in either mils or microns or millimeters, depending on the current unit selection) can be input to add (positive number) or subtract (negative number) from the selected height measurements. For example, the user wants to use a hidden solder pad as the reference surface, and if the height difference between the solder pad and solder mask is known (or measured using VisionMaster), the
