This
quantitative importance in lipid transport locates it at the same
level as that of E. californicum, and above P. pythagoricusHDL-1
that only carries about 30% of circulating lipids. L. mirabilis
HDL-2 (density 1.19–1.20 g/mL) only contains 1%lipids, but it is
associated to around 20% of total hemolymphatic lipids, and its
concentration is 31.9 mg/mL hemolymph. HDL-2, like that in P.
pythagoricus, is gray colored and contains hemocyanin.
