3. The Garbage Disposal
Your garbage disposal sees a lot of waste. From leftovers scraped off the plate, to fruit and vegetable scraps discarded during dinner prep, your disposal gets dumped on a lot. If you don’t clean it regularly, germs and bacteria can build up down in that dark and mysterious hole, and your kitchen will start to smell a little less than fresh. Jill Winger, from The Prairie Homestead, recommends sprinkling ½ a cup of baking soda directly into your garbage disposal and then pouring a cup of white distilled vinegar over it. The mixture will foam vigorously, and start to work its magic. Leave it to soak for 5-10 minutes, before running boiling water over it to wash the mess away.
