A batch xylitol production from the hemicellulosic hydrolysate CAB was performed in 125ml Erlenmeyer flasks with 50 mL of culture medium on a rotary shaker (Tecnal – TE 420) at 30◦Cand 200 rpm for 120 h, using 1.0 g L−1 initial cell concentration.All the assays were conducted in triplicate. Bioprocesses experiments were carried out using different CAB hydrolysates (CABH-1,CABH-2, CABH-3 and CABH-4) and any supplemental sources was used in the hydrolysate.
