Best wishes from Bangkok.
Here at AES we have been busy with the development plans for AFT Asia in Bangkok and as we progress we become acutely aware of the extremely crowded timeframe in November 2013 that is effecting travel, budgets and buyer focus, parallel to this have been fortunate to have the opportunity to co-locate with an alternative automotive event in Bangkok that will also draw a very high level of industry professionals to the benefit of all concerned.
With these factors in mind we have had detailed dialogue with the key buyers and international institutions in the region and in cooperation with the industry stakeholders and the global organisations have decided it will be in the best interest of all parties to re-schedule AFT Asia to a later date in the international calendar. With this solution we would avoid the market dilution of the five other international gas vehicle events in November 2013 to include the NG China & NGV Forum in Chengdu, NGV Columbia, ANGVA India, NGV America and the China International NGV and Gas Station Equipment Expo. The opportunity to stage AFT Asia in a unique timeframe in the global calendar and focus the buyer and exhibitor audience worldwide, combined with the additional strength of a co-located event that will draw complimentary industry visitors, will, we believe, be a very good return on time and investment for both exhibitors and visitors alike.
I am writing to you as our close supporter and current exhibitor to make you aware and involved in this development and want to keep you up to date on this planning. We will not make any official announcement until we have the written approval from all the official industry and government organsations involved, except to say it is set to be a very big and highly welcomed announcement for all. The date is likely to be in the second quarter of 2014 but avoiding the ACT Expo and NGV Global events that we represent in the US of course.
We will keep you very closely informed with an official announcement due very soon, in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact myself or our General Manager, Ms. Punnapa Onsarn, with any questions or suggestions you have.
With thanks and very best regards
David
