In order to test the above hypotheses, an empirical survey wasconducted using a survey instrument comprised of three parts. Thefirst part of the questionnaire contains the screening questionsto ensure the eligibility and suitability of the sample. The mainpart of the questionnaire comprises 25 questions relating to the6 constructs of the research model. The last part of the question-naire contains questions eliciting demographic information fromthe respondents. Measurements of all the constructs are based ona seven-point Likert type scale ranging from 1: strongly disagree to7: strongly agree; items of each construct were adopted from the question naires used in previous studies. The questions were devel-oped in English and then were written in both English and Chinese. In order to maximize translation equivalence, back-translation wasused to identify any discrepancies in meaning or syntax (Mullen,1995).
