The crickets are fed on a special human grade feed and feeding is discontinued two days prior to processing so their digestive system is completely clean. The crickets are flash frozen, cleaned with filtered water, inspected and then pressure cooked at 121 degrees for 40 minutes. Following the cooking process they are dehydrated at 75 degrees for 12+ hours. They pass through two milling stages, the first removes lighter parts like wings etc. The second process blends them into a fine powder. They are either sieved to a certain particle size or packed immediately depending on customers requirements.
