We are avoid of corrosion damage to aircraft cargo compartments. Marine products are forbidden in both checked and cabin baggage.
In view of Thai Lion Air Safety Action Committee with corrosion damage to the structure of the aircraft from
spills of seafood package was causing additional maintenance work at great expense to Thai Lion Air.
The passengers’ provision on transporting marine products may also be applied to products of “similar” nature that could cause corrosion,
such as “fresh seafood” in brine or live aquarium fish and marine creatures except dehydrated seafood without bad odors.
Passengers are not allowed transporting marine products in both checked and cabin baggage on all Thai Lion Air flights.
If marine products are brought to the airport they will be refused at check-in,
and it will be the passenger’s responsibility to arrange the disposal of seafood prior to boarding.
