In terms of feeding guilds the mean abundance of
nectarivorous birds using MT patches was significantly
higher than in OK (Table 5). The streaked spiderhunter
(8 birds/site visit) and little spiderhunter (4.71 birds/site
visit) were the most abundant nectarivores in Mae Tuen
patches. Nectarivores in OK were more diverse but found
in lower abundance, with the chestnut-flanked white-eye
(3.57) and streaked spiderhunter (1.29) ranking first and
second. None of the other feeding guilds showed any
significant difference between the sites (Table 5).
