A man was arrested with 14,200 methamphetamine pills in his possession in a sting operation in Muang district of Pathum Thani province on Sunday, police said.
The arrest of Kittipong Kaew-on was made in front of a convenience store at Sahamit housing estate in tambon Bang Khayaeng. Mr Kittipong went there to hand over 200 methamphetamine pills to an undercover police officer.
In a subsequent search of his house in Nonthaburi province, police found another 14,000 meth pills.
Mr Kittipong allegedly said he had worked for a drug network operated from Klong Prem Prison. He took the drugs from his contact in an area on Rama 9 road in Bangkok and sold them to teenagers in Pathum Thani and Suphan Buri provinces.
